Investigating Nanocrystalline Cellulose (NCC) as Loss Circulation Material in Drilling Fluids
Funded in participation with Alberta Innovates - Technology Futures and Marquis Alliance, this research project, led by Dr. Yaman Boluk, Nanofibre Chair in Forest Products, University of Alberta and Principal Scientist at NRC National Institute for Nanotechnology (NINT), aims to develop an NCC additive for drilling muds that will give better fluid loss control in drilling operations.
ArboraNano is supported by the federal government through a Networks of Centers of Excellence program.
